Melchior Chodkowski was my 3rd cousin 5X removed.

The record seems to state that the witnesses, Jan and Ignacy Chodkowski, were Melchior’s brothers-in-law. They were, in fact, Melchior’s nephews, the sons of Melchior’s older brother Mikołaj.

This marriage was the second marriage for both spouses. Moreover, Melchior and Agnieszka married at quite an advanced age, seventy-sex and seventy years of age, respectively.

Mosaki-Rukle

On the 17th day of December [1767], a deceased infant by the name of Marianna, nine months old, daughter of the Noble Adam Chotkowski, was buried in the sepulcher. 3 tynfs.

Marianna Chodkowska was my 3rd cousin 5X removed. Of significance is the fact that Marianna was buried in a sepulcher of the church, rather than in the cemetery. A notation at the end of the burial record shows that Marianna’s parents paid the sum of 3 tynfs for her burial.

No baptismal record for Marianna Chodkowska, the daughter of Adam Chodkowski and Julianna Bieńkowska, exists in the Krasne parish records. The age of the child at the time of death (9 months) indicates that Marianna was born early in the year 1767. However, the Krasne parish records show that a daughter Franciszka was born to Adam Chodkowski and Julianna Bieńkowska at that time, suggesting that Marianna and Franciszka were the same child.
