Mosaki-Rukle.In the year one-thousand eight-hundred nine, on the first day of the month of August at the hour of nine before noon, before Us the pastor of Krasne, performing the duties of the Civil Registrar of the Krasne District, Przasnysz County in the Płock Province; there appeared the well-born Jan Chotkowski, owner of a part [of the village], thirty years old, residing in Mosaki-Rukle, and he told Us that on the thirty-first day of the month of July in the year one-thousand eight-hundred nine at the hour of seven in the evening, in the home of his full brother, a child of the female sex was born which the declarants shows to Us and states that to him [her] is to be given the name Bogumiła. The child is begotten of the well-born Maciej Mosakowski, age twenty-six, a soldier staying with the Polish Army, and his wife Zuzanna née Chotkowska, age twenty-seven. The aforementioned declaration and presentation were performed in the presence of the well-born Kazimierz Mieszkowski, owner of a part [of the village], age forty and residing in Mosaki-Rukle, together with Jan Milewski, owner of a part of that same village located in the Krasne District, forty-two years of age. Whereupon this birth document was read aloud to the declarants and signed by us, because none of the witnesses know how to write.
The Reverend Franciszek Sułkowski, pastor of Krasne, discharging the duties of Civil Registrar
Boumiła’s father, Maciej Mosakowski, was a soldier in the Polish Army and was apparently not present for the birth or baptism of his daughter. I have not been able to find any other children of Maciej Mosakowski and Zuzanna Chodkowska in the Krasne parish records. Perhaps Maciej died in the army, or perhaps the family relocated to some other location. If Maciej died in the army, Zuzanna most likely would have remarried. Perhaps I should look for a second marriage of Zuzanna.
