Suwin and Brzęczki 19.
This happened in the village of Węgra on the thirty-first day of August (thirteenth day of Steptember) in the year one-thousand nine-hundred three at six o’clock in the afternoon. We delare that in the presence of the witnesses, farmers Jan Balcerczyk, residing the village of Brzęczki, forty-one years old, and Jan Kraśnicki, residing in the village of Kijewice, forty years old, on this day a religious marital union was contracted between Stanisław Morawski, a bachelor, born in the village of Bartołdy, Ciechanów Uyezd, son of Jan Morawski, a laborer, and his wife Domicela née Golanowska, residing with his parents in Suwin, twenty-four years old, and Helena Chodkowska, a maiden, born in the village of Kobylaki Czarzaste, Przasnysz parish, daughter of Ezechiel Chodkowski, a landowner, and his wife Pelagia née Ropelewska, residing with her parents in the village of Brzęczki in the local parish, eighteen years old. This marriage was preceded by three readings of the banns in the local parish church on the twenty-third and thirtieth of August, and on the sixth of September of the current year. Permission was given verbally by the bride’s parents who were present in person for the drawing up of the marriage record. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. The religious marriage ceremony was performed by us, who has signed below, Administrator of the Węgra parish, the Reverend Ludwik Saliński. This document was read aloud to those present who are illiterate, and was signed only by us. Administrator of the Węgra parish, keeper of the documents of the civil state. [signed] The Reverend Ludwik Saliński

It took me a while to figure out where the bride and her parents were living at the time of this marriage. The record states that they were living in Brzęczki in the parish of Węgra, but I couldn’t find a place with that name on any map or in any gazetteer. Then, I found a place called Smoleń-Brzęczki on http://mapa.szukacz.pl/ and it was clear that this was the correct village. This village also appears in the Słownik Geograficzny Królestwa Polskiego, but, curiously enough, it does not appear on Google maps.
