This happened in the village of Mały Płock on the third / fifteenth day of January in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-three at the hour of four in the afternoon . There appeared Jakób Dymek, a peasant farmer residing in Piasutno, forty-seven years of age, in the presence of Józef Gutek, thirty-six years of age, together with Maciej Chaber, forty years of age, both peasant farmers from Piasutno, and he showed Us a child of the male sex, born in Piasutno on the first / thirteenth day of this same month and year at the hour of six in the morning of him and his wife Ewa née Gołaś, forty years of age . To this child at Holy Baptism performed on this day was given the name Paweł, and his Godparents were the afore-mentioned Józef Gutek and Rozalia Piasutzowa . This document was read aloud to the declarant father and witnesses who do not know how to write.

Of interest in this record is the mother’s maiden name: Gołaś . The Dymek ancestor of my cousins was Józef Dymek, married to Bronisława Gołaś . While I do not know at this time whether the people named in this record are related to my cousins, it is encouraging that a Dymek married a Gołaś in this place.
