The Dymek Family in the 1940 Worcester City Directory

Two of my Danko uncles married two Skowronski sisters, daughters of Franciszka Dymek .  The Dymek families were listed in the 1940 edition of Polk’s Worcester (Worcester County, Mass.) City Directory .  There are (at least) two family groups listed .  The first consists of Stanislaw  and Frances Dymek and their children Chester, Henry R., Walter, and Wm (William) . Â  I don’t know if or how the other Dymeks in the directory fit into my family history.

The Skowronski Family in the 1940 Worcester City Directory

Iwaniec .  Alfred’s mother Catherine M., his sister Frances M., and his brother Joseph J. were also residing in the same household.

The Gibson Family in the 1940 Albany City Directory

My aunt Sophie Danko Gibson was listed in the 1940 edition of Polk’s Albany (Albany County, N.Y.) City Directory residing at 17 Grant Ave, Albany, Albany Co., New York, USA with her husband Clark .  There were quite a number of people with the Gibson surname in the directory .  As far as I know, none of the other Gibson’s in the directory are related to Clark .  I have provided the first 11 entries in the directory; Clark and Sophie are the last entry in the clip provided.

My Niedzialkowski grandparents and several of my aunts and uncles were listed in the 1940 edition of Polk’s Worcester (Worcester County, Mass) City Directory at 18 Huntington Ave in Worcester, Worcester Co., Massachusetts .  Also listed in the entry is Damian Niedzialkowski at 19 Endicott St who apparently came from the same village in Poland in which my grandfather Kostanty lived.
