[Radzieje-]Bede 115.
This happened in Pałuki on the twenty-second day of October / third day of November in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-two at the hour of three in the afternoon . There appeared Ferdynand Suwiński, son of the deceased, from Długołęcki, thirty-three years of age, and Józef Dzierzęcki from [Radzieje-]Bede, forty-four years of age, both owners of parts [of the village], and they stated that today at eight in the morning, Maciej Suwiński, a widower, died in [Radzieje-]Bede, sixty-five years of age, born and residing in [Radzieje-]Bede with his family, son of the deceased married couple Józef and mother’s name unknown Suwiński . After visual confirmation of the death of Maciej Suwiński, this document having been read aloud to the declarants and because they do not know how to write, was signed by Us alone.

Maciej Suwiński was the father-in-law of my 2nd cousin 4X removed, Marianna Chodkowska . This record states that the name of Maciej Suwiński’s mother was unknown . This is unfortunate, since I know from Maciej’s marriage record that his mother’s given name was Ludwika but I don’t know her maiden surname . Perhaps I will learn her maiden surname if I can find Maciej’s birth and baptismal record . However, even though the death record and marriage record both state he was born in Radzieje-Bede (parish of Pałuki), I have not yet found Maciej’s birth and baptismal record in the records for the parish of Pałuki.
