No 4. Bartołdy

This happened in Zielona on the twenty-first day of January in the year one-thousand eight-hundred sixty-five at the hour of eleven before noon .  There appeared Paweł Bartołd, forty years of age, and Paweł Bartołd, forty years of age, residing in Bartołdy, and they stated that on the eighteenth day of January in this same year at the hour of two in the morning, Antonina née Pajewska Chodkowska died, a widow with a lifelong endowment, seventy-one years of age, daughter of the deceased married couple Maciej and Marianna Pajewski. After visual confirmation of the death of Antonina Chodkowska, this document was read aloud to the declarant and was signed by Us. The declarant does not know how to write.
[signed] The Reverend Józef Rakowski, Head of the Parish of Zielona, Maintaining the Records of the Civil State

Antonina née Pajewska Chodkowska was the wife of my 1st cousin 5X removed, Mikołaj Chodkowski.

The priest listed the declarants as Paweł Bartołd, age 40, and Paweł Bartołd, age 40. While there may have been two men with the same name and of the same age in the same village, it is also possible that the priest made an error.
