The Reverend Franciszek Sułkowski, pastor of Krasne, performing the duties of the Registrar of the Civil State.
Napoleon Chodkowski was my 4th cousin 4X removed. He was named, we might suppose, after Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, the man who defeated the occupiers of the Polish lands and the creator of the Duchy of Warsaw in which the family then resided.
