Bap[tism] of Joseph Eustache Fortin
In the year one-thousand one, on the fifteenth day of the month of November, was baptized by me, the Recollect priest serving the functions of pastor of the parish of St. Ignace, Joseph Eustache, born on the twelfth of this month, son of Eustache Fortin and Louise Cloutier, the father and mother. The Godfather was Charles Fortin, and the Godmother was Barbe Fortin. The Godfather declared that he does not know how to sign; the Godmother signed as required by law.
