The Birth and Baptism of Dominik Gołaś – 1860

Dominik Gołaś, son of the deceased Tomasz Gołaś and Franciszka Duda, was born on 04 September 1860 in Kąty, Kolno Powiat, Łomża Gubernia, Congress Kingdom of Poland .  He was baptized on 09 September 1860 in the parish church in Mały Płock, Kolno Powiat, Łomża Gubernia, Congress Kingdom of Poland.

231 Kąty

This happened in the village of Mały Płock on the ninth day of September in the year one-thousand eight-hundred sixty at the hour of one in the afternoon .  There appeared Jakób Duda, a peasant farmer residing in Kąty, forty years of age, in the presence of Franciszek Jerzył, thirty years of age, together with Walenty Grajek, forty years of age, peasant farmers from Kąty, and he showed Us a child of the male sex born in Kąty on the fourth day of September in this same year at the hour of four in the morning of Franciszka née Duda Gołaś, a widow after the death of Franciszek Tomasz Gołaś who died on the twenty-eighth day of August in this same year, a peasant in Kąty residing on a farm, thirty years of age .  To this child at Holy Baptism performed on this day by the Reverend Lutostański was given the name Dominik, and his Godparents were the afore-mentioned Jakób Duda and Ludwika Siwik .  This document was read aloud to the illiterate declarant and witnesses and was signed by Us.

The priest originally wrote that the name of the deceased father was Franciszek Gołaś, but corrected it in the margin to Tomasz Gołaś.
