Since it is now spring in Brasília, many trees and shrubs are in flower . Among these are Flamboyant tree (Delonix regia), Brazilian skyflower (Duranta erecta), Silk Oak (Grevillea sp.), Golden shower (Cassia fistula), and Bougainvillea (Bougainvillea sp.).

Apple, I had never been south of the equator before. It’s comforting to know that, when winter arrives in the northern hemisphere and the weather is cold and miserable, it’s summer in the southern hemisphere!
