Klonowo 99.

This happened in Pałuki on the sixteenth / twenty-eighth day of August in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-three at the hour of one in the afternoon.  There appeared Józef Chodkowski, owner of a part [of his village], residing in Klonowo, thirty years of age, in the presence of Anzelm Brzozowski of Długołęcka, seventy-five years of age, and Piotr Kołokowski from Osyski, twenty-six years of age, owners of parts [of their villages], and he showed Us a child of the male sex, born in Klonowo yesterday at the hour of five in the morning of his wife Marianna née Trętowska, twenty-one years of age.  To this child at Holy Baptism performed on this day was given the name Karol, and his Godparents were the afore-mentioned Piotr Kołakowski and his wife Teofila.  This document was read aloud to the declarant and witnesses and, because they do not know how to write, it was signed only by Us.
