No 51 Umiemy
This happened in Zielona on the seventeenth day of June in the year one-thousand eight-hundred sixty-six at the hour of twelve noon. There appeared Kacper Chodkowski, a farmer, thirty-five years of age and residing in Umiemy, in the presence of Stanisław Kołakowski, fifty years of age, and Antoni Milewski, thirty-six years of age, residing in Umiemy, and he showed Us a child of the female sex born on the fourteenth day of June of this same year at the hour of nine in the morning of his wife Aleksandra née Milewska, thirty years of age. To this child at Holy Baptism performed on this day was given the name Konstancja, and her Godparents were Wiktor Bieńkowski and Konstancja his wife. This document was read aloud to the declarants, the father, and the witnesses and was signed by Us and the declaring father; the witnesses do not know how to write.

Just curious — is there a relationship between Chodkowski and Chodkowska?
Also, fyi, intrigued by the stories in my head that come from your birth and death records. Also the villages and towns. Do you write histories and stories of the people and places?
Hi Joan,
Chodkowski is the masculine form of the name and Chodkowska is the feminine form of the name.
I do try to write down stories of the people and the villages, when I know something about them. There are dozens of such stories on my blog that either I have written or that readers have contributed. Here are a couple of examples:
The story of my cousin Katarzyna Danko is told in a post at http://stephendanko.com/blog/index.php/archives/2690
The story of the village of DylÄ…gowa is told in a post at http://stephendanko.com/blog/index.php/archives/2468
