The Marriage of Ignacy Chodkowski and Katarzyna Bartold – 1850

Ignacy Chodkowski (son of Jan Chodkowski and Joanna Kobylińska) and Katarzyna Bartold (daughter of Łukasz Bartold and Scholastyka Bobińska) were married in the parish church in Płoniawy, Maków Okręg, Płock Gubernia, Congress Kingdom of Poland on 11 February 1850.

9. Bobino          XIW          26.

This happened in the village of Płoniawy on the thirtieth day of January / eleventh day of February in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty at the hour of five in the evening.
     We make it known that in the presence of witnesses, Ignacy Bartold, uncle, thirty years of age, together with Józef Bobiński, brother of the young woman, twenty-five years of age, owners of parts [of the villages], the first residing in Bobino, and the second in Chodkowo, on this day a religious marriage was contracted between the young man Ignacy Chodkowski, residing with his family in Chodkowo, twenty-three years of age, son of the married couple Jan Chodkowski and Joanna née Kobylińska, owners of  parts of Chodkowo, born in Chodkowo; and the young woman Katarzyna Bartold, twenty-three years of age, residing in Bobino with her mother, daughter of the married couple the deceased Łukasz Bartold and the still-living Scholastyka Bobińska, owners of  parts [of the village] of Bobino, having been born in Bobino. This wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns on the fifteenth, twenty-second, and twenty-ninth of January / twenty-seventh of January, third and the tenth of February of the same year in the parish of Płoniawy. No impediment to the marriage arose. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them.
     This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and was signed by Józef Bobiński; the other people in this document and the parents do not know how to write.
