My Genealogical Holiday Tradition

Every year since 2002 I’ve traveled to Salt Lake City to conduct research at the Family History Library during the Thanksgiving weekend to enjoy the relative quiet of the Family History Library while most people are out Christmas shopping. This trip has become my own genealogical holiday tradition.

On Sunday evening, I visited Temple Square to view the holiday lights. I hope you enjoy these photographic memories of this year’s trip to Salt Lake City.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful photographs. When I visited Salt Lake City several years ago, I marvelled at the beautiful flower gardens on the temple square.

The buildings there certainly are impressive. Great shots, especially the one of the reflecting pool.

Fantastic photos Steve, and my idea of a wonderful (if too short) time away 🙂
Also very pleased to find another narrative Polish entry tranlsated in your Dec 4th posting, and I hope the start of a new series of them! I’m currently trying to make some kind of genealogical sense of Land Records I have just received (1936 – in Polish). I think there’s a good chance I am making mistakes…
    Kindest regards,
    Bronwyn.
