Rose Season at Filoli
On Thursday, I stopped by the Filoli Estate in Woodside, California to take some pictures of the roses in bloom.

Great photos - I always enjoy your visits to Filoli - through your pics!
Question: did you see any of the smoke from the Santa Cruz fire? Has it made its way up the Bay Area yet?

Lovely photos Steve. Roses are my favorite summer flower. Ours aren’t blooming yet. Next month

Thomas, I enjoy my monthly visits to Filoli. I’ve never been there later than April before, so I’m looking forward to seeing the gardens change during the Summer and Fall. I didn’t notice any smoke from the Santa Cruz fire in San Francisco, but I could smell smoke at the Oakland Airport on Friday morning. Don’t know if the smoke was from Santa Cruz or someplace closer, though.
Jasia, I remember June being the best month for roses when I lived in New York. Having grown up with roses in our yard, roses are among my favorite summer flowers, too!

I also love the photos, Steve. Seeing your photos made me think about the beaufiful roses I have growing in my yard. Think I’ll get out the camera and take some photos.
