The Coast of Haiti

The coast of Haiti is beautiful with tall green mountains surrounded by turquoise water .  Fishermen earn their living from small boats with makeshift sails and a water taxi stands idle near the coast .  Off the coast of Haiti lies the island of Tortuga, made famous in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

    Haiti is indeed a beautiful place to visit. I actually haven’t been there since the earthquake back in 2010. A lot of my friends in Haiti advised me not to come, because of the state the country was in. I’ve missed a lot since then. I used to go on field trips with my Haitian friend, who’s a biologist. I hope we can do that do again…
