The Immigration of Georg Lather and Family – 1867

Georg Lather, his wife Louise Gade Lather, son Johannes Lather, and another passenger named Louise Gade travelled together from Bremen to New York on the Steamer New York. They arrived in New York on 24 June 1867.

  • Louise Lather, age 40, sex female;
  • Johannes Lather, age 6, sex male;
  • Louise Gade, age 14, sex female.

All had departed Germany for the United States.

The identity of the 14-year-old girl named Louise Gade is unknown. Since her surname is the same as Louise Lather’s maiden name, one can suppose that she may be a niece or some other relation to Louise Lather.
