I’ve been tagged\u00c2\u00a0by Jasia<\/a> and\u00c2\u00a0asked to reveal five facts about\u00c2\u00a0myself that you probably don’t know .\u00a0 Well, here goes:<\/p>\n

  1. I hold a B.S. in Chemistry from the State University of New York and a Ph.D. in Botany and Plant Pathology from Oregon State University.<\/li>\n
  2. I’ve taught Archery at\u00c2\u00a0summer camps in New York and Vermont.<\/li>\n
  3. While in elementary school, Gregory Maguire and I wrote\u00c2\u00a0At Kenter’s Lane<\/em> and\u00c2\u00a0Amberside<\/em>, unpublished books about the adventures of two brothers living in England .\u00a0 Greg has gone on to become the best-selling author of many books, including Wicked<\/em>, the book which became the basis for the Broadway musical of the same name.<\/li>\n
  4. My all-time favorite children’s author is Edward Eager who wrote Half Magic, Magic by the Lake, Knight’s Castle, The Time Garden, The Well Wishers,<\/em> and Magic or Not?<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. My blue jeans were on display\u00c2\u00a0at the Smithsonian Institution (The National Museum of American History) in Washington, DC from 1995-2006 .\u00a0 They are now in storage while the museum undergoes renovation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
