Translated from the Polish, the record reads:<\/p>\n [Pajewo-]Rzyski 12.<\/p>\n This happened in Pa\u0142uki on the eleventh \/the twenty-third day of January in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-three at the hour of one in the afternoon. There appeared J\u00f3zef Suwi\u0144ski, owner of a part [of the village] and residing in [Pajewo-]Rzyski, twenty-five years of age, in the presence of Aleksander Obidzi\u0144ski of Gogole, thirty-eight years of age, and J\u00f3zef Chodkowski of Klonowo, thirty-six years of age, owners of parts [of the village], and he showed Us a child of the male sex born in [Pajewo-]Rzyski on the eighth \/ the twentieth day of this same month and year of his wife Marianna n\u00e9e Chodkowska, twenty years of age. To this child at Holy Baptism performed on this day was given the names Karol Marian and his Godparents were the afore-mentioned J\u00f3zef Chodkowski and Marianna his wife. This document was read aloud to the declarant and witnesses and, because they do not know how to write, it was signed only by Us.
