\nThis happened in Krasne on the twenty-fifth day of November \/ seventh day of December in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-six at the hour of ten in the morning. There appeared J\u00f3zef Milewski, fifty-eight years of age, and Faustyn Niedzia\u0142kowski, thirty years of age, both owners of part [of the village] and residing in [Mosaki] Rukle, and they stated that on the twenty-third day of November \/ fifth day of December in the same month at the hour of nine in the evening, Leon Chodkowski died, forty-one years of age, owner of part [of the village], born and residing in [Mosaki] Rukle, son of the married couple, the deceased Jan Chodkowski and Marianna n\u00e9e Obidzi\u0144ska, leaving behind after his death his wife Konstancja n\u00e9e Milewska. After visual confirmation of the death of Leon Chodkowski, this document was read aloud to the declarants and was signed by Us since the declarants do not know how to write.
