My great grandfather, Jakub Da\u0144ko, was married twice .\u00a0 His first marriage was to my great grandmother Agnieszka Sowa who died after falling while picking cherries .\u00a0 His second marriage was to my cousin Piotr’s great grandmother, Zofia G\u0142owacz .\u00a0 Zofia was born in Nienadowa in 1870 .\u00a0 Zofia’s Birth and Baptismal Record is Number 89, the second from the top on this page of the parish register.<\/p>\n

This record not only provides the names of Zofia’s parents, Jan G\u0142owacz and Anna Giergont, but also provides the names of her grandparents, J\u00f3zef G\u0142owacz and Anna Giergont, and Piotr Szyma\u0144ski and Zofia Witkowska.<\/p>\n

This page of the register shows two other records, both of which include names associated with my ancestors:\u00a0 Pilch, Bal, Szyma\u0144ski, Wrotny, Chru\u015bcicki, and Da\u0144ko.<\/p>\n

In fact, the Birth and Baptismal Record for Wiktoria B\u0119benek shows that her mother is Zofia Da\u0144ko, the daughter of Maciej Da\u0144ko, which means that Wiktoria is my great grandfather Jakub’s second cousin!\u00c2\u00a0 Unfortunately, I don’t have an image of this complete page, and so I’m not able to read all of the information in her record.<\/p>\n
