B\u0142a\u017cej Chodkowski (son of Jan Chodkowski and J\u00f3zefata Grzybowska) and J\u00f3zefa Go\u017cdziewska (daughter of Wojciech Go\u017cdziewski and Anna Kierzkowska) were married in the parish church in Krasne, Ciechan\u00f3w Powiat, P\u0142ock Voivodeship, Congress Kingdom of Poland on 24 November 1830.<\/p>\n

15. G\u0142owko and [Mosaki] Rukle. This happened in the church-owned village of Krasne on the twenty-fourth day of November in the year one-thousand eight-hundred thirty at the hour of two in the afternoon. We make it known in the presence of witnesses Tomasz Ossowski, owner of a part in G\u0142owko and residing there, forty-three years of age, and Piotr Grabowski, owner of a part and residing in Ku\u0142ki, forty-nine years of age, brother-in-law of B\u0142a\u017cej Chodkowski\u00c2\u00a0 who is named below, on this day a religious marriage was contracted between B\u0142a\u017cej Chodkowski, a young man residing with his family in Rukle, having been born in [Mosaki] Rukle of the married couple Jan Chodkowski and J\u00f3zefa n\u00e9e Grzybowska and residing there, nineteen years of age, and the young woman J\u00f3zefa, daughter of the married couple Wojciech Go\u017cdziewski and Anna n\u00e9e Kierzkowska, residing in G\u0142owko, eighteen years of age, residing in G\u0142owko with her family and with her parents. This wedding was preceded by three readings of the banns on the seventh, fourteenth, and twenty-first days of November in the same year in the parish of Krasne, as well as the oral consent of the parents of the newlyweds who were present for the marriage record. No impediments to the marriage arose. The newlyweds stated that they had made a premarital contact on the eighteenth day of November of the present year before Antoni Niski, [Regent and Chancellor?].

B\u0142a\u017cej Chodkowski was my 1st cousin, 5X removed.<\/p>\n

Of particular interest is the fact that B\u0142a\u017cej Chodkowski and J\u00f3zefa Go\u017cdziewska had made a prenuptual agreement on 18 November 1830. Most Polish marriage records report that “The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptual agreement between them”.<\/p>\n
