Translated from the Polish, the record reads:<\/p>\n 305 .\u00a0 Chodkowo<\/p>\n This happened in the village of P\u0142oniawy on the twenty-sixth of November \/ eighth of December in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-five at the hour of eleven before noon. There appeared Jan Chodkowski \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcsu\u0105z’, sixty years of age, and Ignacy Chodkowski, son of the deceased, twenty-nine years of age, owners of parts [of the village] and residing in Chodkowo, and they declared that yesterday at the hour of three in the afternoon, Joanna n\u00e9e Kobyli\u0144ska Chodkowska, owner of a part [of the village], sixty-seven years of age, leaving behind her widowed husband, the afore-mentioned Jan Chodkowski, died in Chodkowo. After visual confirmation of the death of Joanna Chodkowska, this document was read to the declarants who do not know how to write and was signed by Us. I have not found a Birth and Baptismal Record for Joanna n\u00e9e Kobyli\u0144ska Chodkowska, but her age at death (sixty-seven years) implies that she was born in October 1788. However, Joanna’s age is very difficult to read in this record – I very well may have misread her age. A compiled genealogy by Adam Pszcz\u00f3lkowski provides the year of her birth as “about 1804”, probably based on his interpretation of Joanna’s age in this same record.<\/p>\n REFERENCE: Pszcz\u00f3\u0142kowski, Adam A. 2005.
