This happened in the village of P\u0142oniawy on the thirtieth of September \/ twelfth of October in the year one-thousand eight-hundred forty-eight at the hour of three in the afternoon. There appeared Stanis\u0142aw Gutowski, son-in-law of the deceased, forty-two years of age, and Piotr Niesi\u0105b\u0119zki, forty-nine years of age, owners of parts [of the village] and residing in Chodkowo kuchny, and they declared that on this day at the hour of five in the morning, Melchior Chodkowski died in Chodkowo kuchny, residing with his family in Mosaki rukle, son of the well-born Adam and Julianna n\u00e9e Bie\u0144kowska, leaving behind his wife Agnieszka Zabielska. After visual confirmation of the death of Melchior Chodkowski, this document was read to the declarants who do not know how to write and was signed by Us. – The Reverend Tyburcy Morawski, Pastor of P\u0142oniawy<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Melchior Chodkowski was my 3rd cousin 5X removed. His first wife, Kunegunda Zbyszy\u0144ska, predeceased him. His second wife, Agnieszka Zabielska, survived him. One of the declarants in this record is his son-in-law, Stanis\u0142aw Gutowski, but the spouse of the declarant (and daughter of the deceased) is unknown.<\/p>\n
