Translated from the Latin, the record reads:<\/p>\n [Mosaki]-Rukle -\u00c2\u00a004 June [1788]<\/p>\n A child by the name of Mathias, 13 months [weeks?] old, died, son of the Nobles Pawe\u0142 and El\u017cbieta Chotkowski, and was buried in the cemetery. 1 z\u0142oty and 15 groszy<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Maciej\u00c2\u00a0Chodkowski was my first cousin 5X removed. The notation “1. 15.” at the end of the record indicates that the family paid 1 z\u0142oty and 15 groszy for the burial.<\/p>\n The record states that the child was 13 months old when he died. In actuality, Maciej was born on about 24 February 1788<\/a>, and so was 13 weeks<\/span> old when he died, not 13 months<\/span>. I can only guess that the priest\u00c2\u00a0mistakenly wrote months instead of weeks in the record.<\/p>\n Copyright \u00a9 2009 by Stephen J.
