Translated from the Russian, the record reads:<\/p>\n 2 .\u00a0 Braciejowice – Markiewicz Antoni<\/strong><\/p>\n This happened in the village of Piotrawin on the 25th day of December \/ 6th day of\u00c2\u00a0January 1894\/5 at one in the afternoon .\u00a0 Tomasz Markiewicz appeared in person, age 37, the owner of a house in the village of Braciejowice, in the presence of\u00c2\u00a0Stanis\u0142aw Ka\u0144\u00c2\u00a0from the village of Piotrawin, age 40, and Jakub Pastwaski, from the village of Braciejowice, age 41, the owner of a house – and he presented to us a child of the male sex, stating that it was born in the village of Braciejowice on the 23rd of December \/ 3rd of January\u00c2\u00a0of this year, at\u00c2\u00a04 o’clock after midnight of his lawful wife Franciszka nee Piontkowa, age 32 .\u00a0 To this child at Holy Baptism performed on this date was given the name of Antoni, and his godparents were the above-mentioned\u00c2\u00a0Stanis\u0142aw Ka\u0144\u00c2\u00a0and Leokadia Barfiska .\u00a0 This document was read to the declarant father and to the witnesses, all of whom are illiterate, and signed by us.<\/p>\n Rev. C. Trembi\u0144ski, pastor of the Piotrawin Parish, keeper of the documents of the civil state<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The Birth and Baptismal Record shows that\u00c2\u00a0Antoni was\u00c2\u00a0born at\u00c2\u00a04 AM on\u00c2\u00a0January 6, 1895\u00c2\u00a0in Braciejowice, baptized at\u00c2\u00a01 PM on January 3, 1895 in Piotrawin, his father was Tomasz Markiewicz, his mother was Franciszka Piontkowa, his godparents were Stanis\u0142aw Ka\u0144 and Leokadia Barfiska, and he was baptized by the Rev. C. Trembi\u0144ski.<\/p>\n As with the Birth and Baptismal Record for Stanis\u0142aw Markiewicz, I had a little trouble with the surnames – Ka\u0144, Pastwaski, and Barfiska .\u00a0 Other than those names, I’m very happy with this translation.<\/p>\n Note that when Stanis\u0142aw was born two years earlier, Tomasz was 35 .\u00a0 In this record Tomasz is 37 .\u00a0 Thus, Tomasz’ age is consistent between the two documents .\u00a0 Tomasz was therefore born in about 1857-1858.<\/p>\n When Stanis\u0142aw was born, Franciszka was 28 .\u00a0 In this record she is 32, having aged four years in the space of only two years .\u00a0 Still,\u00a0having a narrow range\u00c2\u00a0for Franciszka’s year of birth will be helpful in finding other records about her .\u00a0 Thus, Franciszka was born in about 1862-1865.<\/p>\n Copyright \u00a9 2006 by Stephen J.
