He was baptized in the parish church in Gzy, ziemia ciechanowska, wojew\u00f3dztwo mazowieckie, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth on 01 Mar 1801. Translated from the Polish, the record reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Borze-Marczysze<\/p>\n<p>On the year and day above [01 March 1801] I baptized an infant with the name Maciej, son of the noble Baltazar Borski and Katarzyna [legally married?]. The Godparents in the Sacred Font were the nobles J\u00f3zef \u017bbikowski from Borze-Przecki and Justyna Borska from Borze-Strumiany, an unmarried woman.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The image above is a digital photograph of the actual baptismal record for Maciej Borski in the Book of Baptisms for the parish of Gzy 1781-1808. This image also appears on FHL INTL microfilm 1,496,799, Item 2.<\/p>\n<p>At this point, I am not completely certain about the spelling of the surname or the place of residence of this family. The surname appears to be Borski and the place of residence appears to be Borze-Marczysze, although I have seen both names spelled differently.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Copyright \u00a9 2008 by Stephen J.
