Translated from the French the record reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Bap[tism] of Nicolas Gamache<\/p>\n<p>On the eighth day of the month of February in the year one-thousand seven-hundred seven, by me, the undersigned missionary priest, performing the functions of pastor of the parishes of St. Ignace and of Notre Dame de Bonsecours, was baptized Nicolas, born on the previous day in the evening, son of Nicolas Gamache and Marie Dion his wife. The Godfather and Godmother were Joachim Dion and Marguerite LeFran\u00ed\u00a7ois, uncle and cousin of the infant, who have stated that they do not know how to sign as required by law.<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Philippe Rageot, missionary priest<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This record can be found as image 10\/149 in the Qu\u00e9bec Vital Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 on Ancestry.com as part of the records for L&#8217;Islet-sur-mer 1683-1762.
