Translated from the French the record reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Bap[tism] of Genevi\u00ed\u00a8ve Gamache<\/p>\n<p>On the third of the month of November in the year one-thousand seven-hundred five was baptized by me, the undersigned missionary priest of the seminary of Qu\u00e9bec, performing the functions of the pastor of the parish of Notre Dame de Bonsecours, Genevi\u00ed\u00a8ve, born on this same day, daughter of Nicolas Gamache and Marie Dion his wife, residing in this parish. The Godfather and Godmother were Fran\u00ed\u00a7ois Dion, grandfather of the infant, and Marie LeBlanc, who have stated that they do not know how to sign as required by law.<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 thus signed Philippe Rageot, missionary priest<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This entry is a different copy of the entry I previously wrote about on <a href=\"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/2008\/11\/07\/the-birth-and-baptism-of-genevieve-gamache-1705\/\">07 Nov 2008<\/a>. This copy is much more legible, but it does not appear to include the exact same language as the first. Still, the basic information provided is the same<\/p>\n<p>This record can be found as image 9\/149 in the Qu\u00e9bec Vital Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 on Ancestry.com as part of the records for L&#8217;Islet-sur-mer 1683-1762.
