When I was searching the Internet for connections to my Dziurzy\u0144ski ancestors, I came across some information<\/a> posted by Paulette Mackuliak who was searching for her Dziurzy\u0144ski ancestors in the same part of Poland\u00c2\u00a0where\u00c2\u00a0my ancestors lived .\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I also found a reply<\/a> from Georgia Dziurzynski whose husband’s Dziurzynski ancestors were also from southern Poland.<\/p>\n

Paulette and I exchanged some information on our ancestors.<\/p>\n

The Dziurzynski\u00c2\u00a0Family Record Sheet<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0Paulette sent me is provided below .\u00a0 Notice the comment in the upper right hand corner zmiana nazwiska z “Dziura” 28.10.1915 <\/em>meaning change of surname from “Dziura” October 28, 1915.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Dziurzynski<\/a><\/p>\n

As Paulette and I discovered after several emails and a telephone conversation, our ancestors shared the same surname and at least some lived in the same village of Sielnica and attended the same church in Dylagowa .\u00a0 In addition, my ancestors changed their name from Dziura to Dziurzy\u0144ski sometime between 1901<\/a> and 1905<\/a> and\u00c2\u00a0Paulette’s ancestors changed their name from Dziura to Dziurzy\u0144ski on October 28, 1915 .\u00a0 Finally, the surname Sowa appears in family records in both of our families.<\/p>\n

Paulette and I have not discovered any direct connections between our families, but our Dziurzy\u0144ski ancestors lived in the same small village in Galicia at the same time .\u00a0 A search of the Dylagowa church records may reveal clues to both of our ancestors and may even show evidence of a common ancestor .\u00a0 And so, the search continues.<\/p>\n
