Translated from the French the record reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Baptism of Augustin Gagnon<\/p>\n<p>In the year of Our Lord [one-thousand six-hundred] seventy-five, on the eighteenth of October, [one word?] the birth of an infant of Pierre Gagnon and Barbe Fortin his wife, which I baptized [one word?] in the Chapel of Cap Tourmente. The Godfather was Jean Gagnon and the Godmother was Marguerite Gagnon wife of Jean Caron of the Parish of Saint Anne. He was given the name of Augustin. Signed F.
