The record reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Bur[ial] of Barbe Fortin, wife of Pierre Lesard<\/p>\n<p>In the year one thousand seven hundred thirty seven on the twenty-seventh day of the month of August, Barbe Fortin, was buried in the cemetery of this parish, age eighty eight years. She died on the previous day after having received all the Sacraments. [She was] the wife of the deceased Pierre Lesard. Assisting with the burial were her son Alexandre Gagnon, her son-in-law Louis Gagnier, Igance and Joseph Caron, and it seemed the entire parish.
