Translated from the Polish, the record states:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>418<br \/>\nG\u0142odki<br \/>\n54<\/p>\n<p>It happened in the ecclesiastical village of Szwelice on the twelfth day of July in the year one thousand eight hundred sixty six at the hour of two o&#8217;clock in the afternoon. Franciszek Niedzia\u0142kowski presented himself, twenty-four years of age,\u00a0heir to a part [of the village], living in G\u0142odki, in the presence of Jan Maykowski, \u00e2\u20ac\u00a1, and Stanis\u0142aw Trosci\u0144ski, fifty years of age, heirs to a part [of the village] living in G\u0142odki .\u00a0 He showed Us a child of the female sex, declaring that she was born in G\u0142odki today at the hour of one o&#8217;clock after midnight, born of his wife Maryanna n\u00e9e Grabowska, thirty-five years of age. At Holy Baptism performed this day by the Reverend Ignace Kotakowski pastor of the place, the child was given the name Anna and the Godparents were the married couple Jan and Eleanora Maykowski. This document was read aloud to the declarants and witnesses and signed by Us alone because the declarants and witnesses cannot write.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Rev[erend] Ig[nacy] Kotakowski, Pastor of Szwelice<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Maintaining the Public Register<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>When\u00c2\u00a0completing this record, the priest omitted the age of Jan Maykowski. Jan&#8217;s age is indicated in the left margin of the record and is to be included in the record where indicated by the double dagger \u00e2\u20ac\u00a1. Jan was 33 years old at the time of this baptism .\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the records I found at the Family History Library while attending UPGS 2008.<\/p>\n<p>As with several other records I found on this trip to the Family History Library, I don&#8217;t know who the people mentioned in this record are and I don&#8217;t know if they are related to my Niedzia\u0142kowski ancestors, but they lived very near my ancestors.
