According to current maps, there are nine places in Poland called Mak\u00f3w. One of these villages, located in Mak\u00f3w Powiat in the Masovian Voivodeship, is now known as Mak\u00f3w Mazowiecki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UB<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n What is clear from this entry, up through 1884, the village was called Mak\u00f3w (or Macov, Macow, Makowo in older references), but in 1937 the name was listed as Mak\u00f3w Mazowiecki. “Mak\u00f3w Mazowiecki, formerly known as Mak\u00f3w \u0141om\u017cy\u0144ski or Mak\u00f3w nad Orzycem (the name Mak\u00f3w Mazowiecki was adopted in 1928), is one of the oldest towns in Masovia.
