Volume III of\u00a0Nazwy Miejscowe Polski<\/em>\u00a0lists one place called Gociejewo which belongs to the Szwelice parish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nazwy Miejscowe Polski<\/em>\u00a0indicates that Gociejewo was in the Karniewo Gmina, Ciechan\u00f3w Voivodeship in the years 1975-1998 and was located 10 kilometers southwest of Mak\u00f3w Mazowiecki. Mentions of the village include: Goscegow<\/em> in (about 1240), Gosczyegewo<\/em> in 1449, Gosczegeuo<\/em> in 1454, Kosczegewo<\/em> in 1477, Goszczyeyew<\/em>o in 1497, Gosczyeyewo<\/em> in 1510, Gosczeieyewo<\/em> (!) in 1530, Gosczieiewo<\/em> in 1582, Gosciejewo<\/em> in 1783, Go\u015bcieiewo<\/em> in 1827, Go\u015bcieiewo<\/em> in 1839, Go\u015bciejewo<\/em> in 1881, and Go\u015bciejewo, -wa, go\u015bciejewski<\/em> in 1971.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name of Go\u015bciejewo is from the name of a settlement Go\u015bciej<\/em>, with suffixes -\u00f3w, -ewo<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n
