Translated from the French the record reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>B[urial] [Pier]re [Le]Blanc<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 #<br \/>\nOn the <strike>seig<\/strike> October one thousand seven hundred sixty nine, by me, the undersigned priest, was buried in the cemetery of this hospital the body of Pierre LeBlanc who died the day before yesterday, age about eighty five. Present were Jean Baptiste Maillot and Louis Malgaret dit St Germain, who have declared that they do not know how to sign as required .\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 #twenty third pc\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Poncin priest<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This record can be found as <a title=\"image 130\/372\" href=\"http:\/\/content.ancestry.com\/Browse\/view.aspx?dbid=1091&#038;path=M.Montr%c3%a9al+H%c3%b4pital+G%c3%a9n%c3%a9ral+des+Soeurs+Grises.1738-1785.130&#038;sid=&#038;gskw=&#038;cr=1\">image 130\/372<\/a> in the Quebec Vital Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 on Ancestry.com in the records for Montr\u00e9al H\u00f4pital G\u00e9n\u00e9ral des Soeurs Grises 1738-1785. The record appears on the obverse of folio 126.<\/p>\n<p>By itself, this record does not identify who Pierre LeBlanc is, exactly. However, at the time Pierre died,\u00a0there\u00c2\u00a0was only one 85-year-old man in New France with this name, leading to the conclusion that this Pierre LeBlanc had been the spouse of Marie Fran\u00ed\u00a7oise Landry.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Copyright \u00a9 2008 by Stephen J.
