Translated from the French the record reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Marie LeBlanc<\/p>\n<p>[On the 17th day of April of the year 1729]<br \/>\nI, the undersigned missionary priest<br \/>\nin l&#8217;Acadie have baptized and<br \/>\nadministered the ceremonies to Marie,<br \/>\nborn on the 7th of April of the present year,<br \/>\ndaughter of Pierre LeBlanc and<br \/>\nFran\u00ed\u00a7oise Landry. The Godfather<br \/>\nwas Antoine LeBlanc; the<br \/>\nGodmother was Agn\u00ed\u00a8s LeBlanc, who have<br \/>\ndeclared that they do not know how to sign.<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Ant[oine] Faulin, pr[iest]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This record can be found as <a title=\"image 252\/317\" href=\"http:\/\/content.ancestry.com\/Browse\/view.aspx?dbid=1110&#038;path=S.St-Charles-les-Mines+Bapt%c3%aames.1707-1733.252&#038;sid=&#038;gskw=&#038;cr=1\">image 252\/317<\/a> in the Acadia French Catholic Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1670-1946 on Ancestry.com in the records for St-Charles-les-Mines Bapt\u00ed\u00aames 1707-1733. The record appears on page 247.<\/p>\n<p>The actual record does not state on what day the baptism occurred, but the records immediately preceding and following Marie LeBlanc&#8217;s record both state that those baptisms occurred on 17 April 1729, leading me to conclude that Marie&#8217;s baptism also occurred on that day.
