Translated from the Polish, the entry reads:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Strachocino<\/strong>, a village of nobles and peasants on the Orzyc River, Mak\u00f3w powiat, Smrock gmina, Szelk\u00f3w parish, 12 versts [1 verst = 1.07 kilometers] from Mak\u00f3w. In 1827, it had 22 houses and 185 inhabitants. In 1874, the Strachocino estate covered 1278 m\u00f3rgs [Gerald Ortell&#8217;s book on Polish Parish Records states that in the Russian partition 1 m\u00f3rg = 1.388 acres]: arable land and gardens 616 m\u00f3rgs, meadows 163 m\u00f3rgs, pastures 58 m\u00f3rgs, water 25 m\u00f3rgs, forest 375 m\u00f3rgs, unused land 41 m\u00f3rgs; 23 wooden buildings, managed forest.
