Translated from the Polish, the entry reads:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Magnuszewo<\/strong> <em>Ma\u0142e<\/em>, also known as <em>Kotowe<\/em>, and <em>Magnuszewo Wielkie<\/em>. A village on the Orzyc River, Mak\u00f3w powiat, Smrock gmina, Szelk\u00f3w parish. There is a primary school here. In 1827, Magnuszewo Ma\u0142e had 16 houses and 172 inhabitants; Magnuszewo Wielkie had 22 houses and 189 inhabitants. See <em>Krasne<\/em>, vol. IV, p. 623. According to the Land Credit Society, the Magnuszewo Ma\u0142e (Kotowe) estate (with the villages of Magnuszewo Ma\u0142e, D\u0105browa, and \u015awi\u0119ta Rozalia), 3 versts [1 verst = 1.07 kilometers] from the Narew River, covered 981 m\u00f3rgs [Gerald Ortell&#8217;s book on Polish Parish Records states that in the Russian partition 1 m\u00f3rg = 1.388 acres]; arable land and gardens 310 m\u00f3rgs, meadows 5 m\u00f3rgs, pastures 89 m\u00f3rgs, forest 465 m\u00f3rgs, thickets 95 m\u00f3rgs, unproductive land and building plots 17 m\u00f3rgs, 13 wooden buildings. The village of Magnuszewo Ma\u0142e had 29 settlements, with 212 m\u00f3rgs of land; D\u0105browa had 3 settlements, with 29 m\u00f3rgs of land; \u015awi\u0119ta Rozalia had 3 settlements, with 34 m\u00f3rgs of land. The Magnuszewo-Laski estate (with the localities of Gnojno and Rzewin, and the villages of Magnuszewo Wielkie, Budy Krasi\u0144skie, and Laski), 4 versts from the Narew River, covered 1818 m\u00f3rgs, arable land and gardens 557 m\u00f3rgs, meadows 77 m\u00f3rgs, pastures 162 m\u00f3rgs, forest 861 m\u00f3rgs, thickets 100 m\u00f3rgs, unproductive land and building plots 61 m\u00f3rgs, 2 brick buildings, 14 wooden buildings.
