As the archives make more and more Polish metrical records (records of births, marriages, and deaths) available to the public online, Szukaj w Archiwach is becoming a more and more valuable resource for Polish genealogical research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, the site has been shut down for the last few weeks. Here&#8217;s the latest information from the Archives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"831\" height=\"796\" src=\"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23115\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image.png 831w, https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-300x287.png 300w, https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/image-768x736.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 831px) 100vw, 831px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Translated into English, this says:<br><br>Search in Archives<br><br>Beginning Monday, November 21, the Search in Archives service will be available in the reading rooms of the State Archives throughout the country.<br><br>At the same time, we are intensively working on restoring the current functionality and safe user access to the website.<br><br>The temporary shutdown of Search in Archives was for security reasons.<br><br>We apologize for any inconvenience and please be patient.
