Danko on 12 Jan 2008.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Laura Spurrier is the librarian and Jane Knowles Lindsey is the president\u00c2\u00a0at the California Genealogical Society and Library.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">In the course of the meeting, the society officers presented reports on activities during 2007, the library, manuscripts, membership, the newsletter, publications, research\u00c2\u00a0 &#038; lookups, volunteers, website development, and plans for 2008.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Some of the activities planned for the next year include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">All day seminar with Maureen Taylor, the Photo Detective on February 9;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">A trip to Salt Lake City the week of April 13;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Membership meetings the first Saturday of each month;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Workshops, with an Eastern European Workshop planned for April and a Scandinavian Workshop planned for June;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Beginning Genealogy Classes the first Saturday of each month;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Computer Classes and Advanced Genealogy Workshops;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Local coffees;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">A 1-2 day Seminar in October;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Launch of the new society website and database.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"left\">In 2007, the society launched a blog at <a href=\"http:\/\/calgensoc.blogspot.com\/\">http:\/\/calgensoc.blogspot.com\/<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0.
