Selling the house has certainly been an event full of mixed emotions. Despite the fact that our family has owned the house since 1961, nobody in the family wants the responsibility of owning the property any longer.<\/p>\n<p>The attic and basement are full of clutter, mostly from my younger sister&#8217;s family, but there are still some mementos of my older sister, my parents, and me.<\/p>\n<p>While sifting through the remnants, deciding what to keep and what to discard, I came across my mother&#8217;s Catechism book,\u00a0dated 1932.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a class=\"imagelink\" title=\"Catechism Cover\" href=\"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/Catechism-Cover.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"image2095\" style=\"width: 294px; height: 431px\" height=\"431\" alt=\"Catechism Cover\" src=\"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/Catechism-Cover.jpg\" width=\"294\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the cover is handwritten:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"center\">Wed 3:00 o&#8217;clock<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Niedzia\u0142kowska Janina<br \/>\n18 Huntington Ave.<br \/>\nWorcester, Mass.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Catechism &#8211; Katechizm<br \/>\nSt. Mary&#8217;s School<br \/>\nRichland Street<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Wear white dress if you <u>have<\/u> one and veil .\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"center\"><a class=\"imagelink\" title=\"Catechism Title Pages\" href=\"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/Catechism-Title-Pages.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"image2096\" style=\"width: 469px; height: 328px\" height=\"328\" alt=\"Catechism Title Pages\" src=\"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/12\/Catechism-Title-Pages.jpg\" width=\"469\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>SOURCE: Faeber, Wilhelm. 1932. <em>Catechism for the Catholic parochial schools of the United States. <\/em>St. Louis: B.
