{"id":15681,"date":"2012-02-16T23:30:56","date_gmt":"2012-02-17T07:30:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/?p=15681"},"modified":"2012-11-16T15:52:20","modified_gmt":"2012-11-16T23:52:20","slug":"the-castle-in-the-mayan-city-of-tulum-in-quintana-roo-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/15681","title":{"rendered":"The Castle in the Mayan City of Tulum in Quintana Roo, Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The main attraction in the Mayan city of Tulum in Quintana Roo, Mexico is El\u00c2\u00a0Castillo or The Castle .\u00a0 The descriptive plaque for the structure states:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This is the most imposing building of Tulum and, without a doubt, was also the most important .\u00a0 The temple has two small rooms in the upper part in which the principal religious ceremonies were held .\u00a0 The fa\u00ed\u00a7ade was decorated with sculptures and its corners still conserve the remains of masks.
