Translated from the French, the record states:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\">B.144 [baptism 144]<br \/>\nJoseph<br \/>\nGamache<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">On the sixteenth of September, one thousand eight hundred fifty-five, by us, the undersigned priest, was baptized Joseph, born the day before yesterday of the legitimate marriage of Fran\u00ed\u00a7ois Gamache, farmer, and of Marguerite Bluto of this parish. The Godfather was Joseph Trudeau, and the Godmother was Marie Rose Bissonnette, who, as well as the father, did not know how to sign.
