Translated from the Polish, the record reads:<\/p>\n 296 Borkowo<\/p>\n This happened in the village of Ma\u0142y P\u0142ock on the twenty-sixth day of November \/ eighth day of December in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-nine at the hour of one in the afternoon .\u00a0 There appeared Wojciech Go\u0142a\u015b, a peasant farmer residing in Borkowo [signed] The R[everend] Franciszek Sakowicz, Pastor of Ma\u0142y P\u0142ock, maintaining the records of the civil state<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The scribe made an error in the place of residence of the father .\u00a0 He stated in the text that the father resided in Gietki, but noted in the margin “Borkowo, and word underscored” to indicate that the correct place of residence was Borkowo, not Gietki.<\/p>\n Copyright \u00a9 2011 by Stephen J.
