Translated from the Polish, the record reads:<\/p>\n Piasutno 17<\/p>\n This happened in the village of Ma\u0142y P\u0142ock on the third \/ fifteenth day of January in the year one-thousand eight-hundred fifty-three at the hour of four in the afternoon .\u00a0 There appeared Jak\u00f3b Dymek, a peasant farmer residing in Piasutno, forty-seven years of age, in the presence of J\u00f3zef Gutek, thirty-six years of age, together with Maciej Chaber, forty years of age, both peasant farmers from Piasutno, and he showed Us a child of the male sex, born in Piasutno on the first \/ thirteenth day of this same month and year at the hour of six in the morning of him and his wife Ewa n\u00e9e Go\u0142a\u015b, forty years of age .\u00a0 To this child at Holy Baptism performed on this day was given the name Pawe\u0142, and his Godparents were the afore-mentioned J\u00f3zef Gutek and Rozalia Piasutzowa .\u00a0 This document was read aloud to the declarant father and witnesses who do not know how to write. Of interest in this record is the mother’s maiden name:\u00a0 Go\u0142a\u015b .\u00a0 The Dymek ancestor of my cousins was J\u00f3zef Dymek, married to Bronis\u0142awa Go\u0142a\u015b .\u00a0 While I do not know at this time whether the people named in this record are related to my cousins, it is encouraging that a Dymek married a Go\u0142a\u015b in this place.<\/p>\n Copyright \u00a9 2011 by Stephen J.
