[baptism #13]<br \/>\nPierre Fran\u00ed\u00a7ois<br \/>\nPatenaude.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">On the fourth of February, one thousand eight hundred seventy six, we, the undersigned parish priest, baptized Pierre Fran\u00ed\u00a7ois, born on the second of the current month, of the legitimate marriage of Charles Patenaude, laborer, and Osithe Gamache of this parish. The Godfather was Aim\u00e9 Lussier and the Godmother was Rachel Patin, who, as well as the father, did not sign.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">[signed] LB Chr\u00e9tien, Priest<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\">Until recently, these folios from Qu\u00e9bec were difficult to access. Now, these records are available on Ancestry.com as part of the <em>Qu\u00e9bec Vital Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967. <\/em>At the present time, the records are not indexed electronically. The records are, however, grouped according to location and year.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Fortunately, I knew some of the locations and years for events in the Patenaudes&#8217; lives, so the search wasn&#8217;t especially burdensome. Furthermore, most of the records are indexed at the end of every year, which means that I didn&#8217;t have to scroll through all the records, just the indexes.
