Translated from the Polish, the entry reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00c2\u00a0 <strong>Dymki<\/strong> 1.) a Kurpie village in the Kolno Powiat, Czerwone Gmina. Peasants own 136 morgs [in the Russian partition 1 morg = 1.388 acres] of land, of which 70 are arable .\u00a0 2.) Dymki, a hamlet in the Czarno\u017cylski estate, Wielun Powiat, Lutut\u00f3w Gmina and Parish; about 3 milas [7 versts per mila] from Wielun, about 4 versts [0.66 miles per verst] from Lutut\u00f3w, on the border of the Sieradz Powiat .\u00a0 It has 12 homes, 100 residents, 3 morgs of peasant land .\u00a0 The area of the manor is 53 w\u0142\u00f3kas [30 morgs per w\u0142\u00f3ka] (in which there are 20 w\u0142\u00f3kas of arable land, 6 w\u0142\u00f3kas of meadows, and 25 w\u0142\u00f3kas of forests), there is an active distillery with machinery of old construction; there is a windmill .\u00a0 In the year 1827 there were 13 homes and 105 residents here.<em>\u00c2\u00a0W\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6r.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c2\u00a0 Dymki<\/strong>, a little village in the Borys\u00f3w Powiat [now in Belarus], across the town of Borys\u00f3w on the right side of the Berezyna River .\u00a0 In the year 1812 on the last day of November, this place was witness to a terrible battle at the time of the retreat of the French .\u00a0 It was turned to ashes.<br \/>\n<em>\u00c2\u00a0Aleksander Jelski<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Copyright \u00a9 2011 by Stephen J.
