Danko.<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Click on the link for a <a id=\"p1090\" href=\"https:\/\/stephendanko.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/02\/CRB%20Danko%20Agnieszka%201838R.pdf\">PDF<\/a> copy of the Birth and Baptismal Record for Agnieszka Da\u0144ko, along with a transcription and translation from the Latin .\u00a0 The record states:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Agnieszka Da\u0144ko was born on 06 Jan 1838 in house number 158 in Nienadowa<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">She was baptized in the church in Dubiecko on 07 Jan 1838 by Antoni [Itselczycki?]<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">She was a legitimately born, Catholic girl<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Her father was Pawel Da\u0144ko, a farmer<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Her mother was Zofia Szyma\u0144ski, daughter of Anna and Andrzej Szyma\u0144ski, farmer<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Her Godparents were Marcin Tanowski,\u00a0and Rozalia Wayda, the wife of B\u0142a\u017cej Wayda, both farmers<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">The midwife present at the birth was Agnieszka Pilchowa, who was &#8220;not tested&#8221;<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">The priest who baptized the child was Antoni [Itselczycki?]<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"left\">Agnieszka apparently moved to house number 50 on 28 May 1881<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"left\">It&#8217;s interesting to note that the priest who performed the baptism only signed the first baptismal record on the page .\u00a0 On all other records, he signed &#8220;same as above&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The midwife, Agnieszka Pilchowa, was described as &#8220;not tested&#8221; .\u00a0 I suppose this means that she did not have a license as a midwife .\u00a0 When compared with the Birth and Baptismal Record for Agnieszka&#8217;s sister Jadwiga, Jadwiga&#8217;s midwife was listed as &#8220;District Midwife&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Pawel Da\u0144ko often called on Marcin Tanowski and Rozalia Wayda to be the Godparents of his children .\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know who Marcin Tanowski married, but he may be a relative or the husband of a relative of Pawel .\u00a0 Rozalia Wayda, wife of B\u0142a\u017cej Wayda, may well be Pawel&#8217;s younger sister, but I&#8217;ll have to search for the marriage record for B\u0142a\u017cej and Rozalia to be sure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agnieszka Da\u0144ko, the daughter of Pawel Da\u0144ko and Zofia Szyma\u0144ska, and the sister of my great grandfather, Jakub Da\u0144ko, was born in Nienadowa on 06 Jan 1838 .\u00a0 Agnieszka&#8217;s record is the second entry on this page.
